Booking Tee Times
NYS Parks says tee time reservations are taken seven days in advance. Book online through the course's foreUP booking page (linked from the NYS Parks golf page) or call the pro shop at (315) 637-4653. The pro shop is open 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily in season. Staff may pair golfers together.
The Course
NYS Parks describes a scenic 18-hole course with plush fairways on rolling terrain that "tests all playing abilities." The bunkers are deep-faced, and golfers rarely get a flat lie, so a wild tee shot can be costly. The course was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps company that built much of the park, along with the clubhouse; see history. It stays busy: the State Parks blog reported 34,167 rounds in a single recent season.

The Clubhouse and Yards Grille
The Robert Trent Jones clubhouse sits on a hill south of Green Lake with a panoramic view over the course. Inside is the Yards Grille, a public restaurant with a sports-bar feel, open 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily in season. You don't need to golf to eat there.
Getting to the Course
The course has its own entrance off Route 5 on the south side of the park, separate from the main park entrance off Route 290. NYS Parks marks the golf entrance closed in winter. See parking and directions.
Rules to Know
- Everyone on the course needs a greens fee receipt, including spectators and ride-alongs.
- No pets on the golf course. NYS Parks bans pets from golf courses parkwide.
- Walking trails cross near the course. The Old Growth and Powerline trails pass the golf course maintenance area; stay on marked trails.
When the Course Is Open
The course runs spring to fall and closes in winter. Opening and closing dates change with the weather, so call the pro shop or check the NYS Parks golf page before you go.
